Subversion - Eine kleine Diskursanalyse eines vielfältigen Begriffs
Thomas Ernst

Subversion - A short discourse analysis of a multifarious concept
The term subversion has multiple meanings and has shown its productivity for alternative political concepts during the last two decades, when the processes of globalization and the formation of a society of control made forms of critique necessary that had to be more flexible. By a minor diachronic discourse analysis it can be shown that four discourses of subversion have been established and still coexist: In the institutional discourse of politics subversion is understood as a revolutionary overthrow of the state; in the artistic discourse of the avant-garde subversion can be described as an artistic and procedural movement; in the subcultural discourse it appears as the distinction of a minority and in the poststructuralist discourse as deconstruction. These discourses of subversion form as a multitude (Negri/Hardt) respectively rhizomatic movement (Deleuze/Guattari) - beyond all dictinctions in-between - a new movement of resistance, whose practices and strategies however get entangled in aporias and get absorbed.

Wie ein Fisch im Wasser der Zeichenwelt. Spaßguerilla seit den 1960er Jahren
Simon Teune
Like a fish in the water of the world of signs. Fun guerrilla since the sixties
Since the student movement, subversive forms of protest have become integral part of social movements repertoire of action. The fun guerrilla program, developed and realized in the commune no. I, was an experiment of re-inventing protest and of overstepping its limits. The criticism of power and representation, implemented in its specific own form, the strategy of alienation, and the instigation of self-powered authority are main elements of subversive protest. The paper aims at a tracing of emergence and development of this type of protest, at a systematization of its forms, and at a summary of the considerations at the bottom of it.

»Liberty for Mickey Mouse!« Devil / Teufel, RAF, and fun-guerrilla - a documentation
The contribution documents a so called fun guerrilla text of Fritz Teufel from 1980, in which act together legal defence, political attack, and erotic forms of verbal creativity.
Together, this documentation makes extracts from a psycholinguistic analysis of Teufels speech by Chris Bezzel and relates it to the subversive programmatic of a radicalized action art.

Herbst in Wien - Verortungen. Radikalität und Extremismus der Multitude
Heide Hammer

Autumn in Vienna - positioning. Groups and collectives show various forms of sensual creativity in their resistant practices
Whether they lay focus on the conception of freedom or follow their phantasies of entity is a essential criteria to distinguish between left wing and right wing (liberal from conservative). Besides the establishment of a mainstream in order to take over or adapt, popcultural mises-en-scènes (enactments) are turned in niches of juvenile deviance and artistic production, light and darkness become visible within, oscillating between radicality and extremism. Publicity of a "scene acts as place of political dispute, according to the demands of the actors on each other are illustrative and their dealing with constitutive exclusions seems quite unmasking.
