Media Psychology - Focus Theme: New Media and Interactive Systems

The peer-reviewed proceedings of the 6th Conference of the German Media Psychology Division in the German Psychological Society contain the abstracts of five review and position papers, 56 research papers and 18 posters that were presented during the conference. Because of its current popularity in the research community and due to the research priority of the hosting department "Computer Science and Applied Cognitive Science” of the University of Duisburg-Essen the focus theme "New Media and Interactive Systems” has been chosen. However, also contributions focusing on classical media such as books, films and TV have been submitted and accepted. For the first time, the conference has been opened for the international research community and was therefore held in English.
